En el Foro de Empresarios Chinos de 2023, Lu Qingfen, fundador de HKUST Xunfei, habló sobre los planes de HUAWEI para desarrollar sus propias GPU. Afirmó que estas GPU se especializarán en cálculos neuronales y serán comparables en potencia a la NVIDIA A100. No reveló detalles técnicos, pero dijo que las GPU tendrán una sólida base de hardware y admitirán modelos de lenguaje grandes como GPT-3 y GPT-4.
