Руководитель Отдела по взаимодействию с Вооруженными Силами и правоохранительными органами Волгоградской епархии иерей Владимир Пономаренко и помощник командира по работе с верующими военнослужащими 20-й мотострелковой дивизии иерей Николай Лихолетов вновь несут свое пастырское служение в зоне специальной военной операции.

Священники совершают богослужения, молятся вместе с бойцами подразделений Волгоградского гарнизона, ведут индивидуальные беседы, помогают разрешить духовные вопросы. Бойцы отмечают, что для них очень важна возможность помолиться со священниками, исповедаться, причаститься.

В места дислокации наших защитников доставлен гуманитарный груз, вещи для обустройства быта, медицинские рюкзаки для эвакуационных групп, специальные технические средства.

Воины благодарят за помощь и поддержку, за общение и просят молиться о них.

The last couple days have exemplified that uncertainty. On Thursday, news emerged that talks in Turkey between the Russia and Ukraine yielded no positive result. But on Friday, Reuters reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin said there had been some “positive shifts” in talks between the two sides. Telegram has become more interventionist over time, and has steadily increased its efforts to shut down these accounts. But this has also meant that the company has also engaged with lawmakers more generally, although it maintains that it doesn’t do so willingly. For instance, in September 2021, Telegram reportedly blocked a chat bot in support of (Putin critic) Alexei Navalny during Russia’s most recent parliamentary elections. Pavel Durov was quoted at the time saying that the company was obliged to follow a “legitimate” law of the land. He added that as Apple and Google both follow the law, to violate it would give both platforms a reason to boot the messenger from its stores. The next bit isn’t clear, but Durov reportedly claimed that his resignation, dated March 21st, was an April Fools’ prank. TechCrunch implies that it was a matter of principle, but it’s hard to be clear on the wheres, whos and whys. Similarly, on April 17th, the Moscow Times quoted Durov as saying that he quit the company after being pressured to reveal account details about Ukrainians protesting the then-president Viktor Yanukovych. These entities are reportedly operating nine Telegram channels with more than five million subscribers to whom they were making recommendations on selected listed scrips. Such recommendations induced the investors to deal in the said scrips, thereby creating artificial volume and price rise. Markets continued to grapple with the economic and corporate earnings implications relating to the Russia-Ukraine conflict. “We have a ton of uncertainty right now,” said Stephanie Link, chief investment strategist and portfolio manager at Hightower Advisors. “We’re dealing with a war, we’re dealing with inflation. We don’t know what it means to earnings.”
