Дом был построен в начале 1880-х годов. В те времена улица Добролюбова называлась Никольской, а Гоголя в этом месте была улицей Владычная слобода. Изначально дом принадлежал Фёдору Афанасьевичу Клушину, а после 1905 года перешёл к сыновьям. Один из них, Иван Фёдорович, с 1905 по 1907 года занимал должность Городского головы.

Ukrainian officials, in potential violation of the Geneva Convention, have shared imagery of dead and captured Russian soldiers on the platform. "The argument from Telegram is, 'You should trust us because we tell you that we're trustworthy,'" Maréchal said. "It's really in the eye of the beholder whether that's something you want to buy into." Russian President Vladimir Putin launched Russia's invasion of Ukraine in the early-morning hours of February 24, targeting several key cities with military strikes.
