Общий коэффициент рождаемости упал с 2,07 в 2017 до 1,99 в 2018. Это ниже уровня, необходимого для обновления населения - 2.10.
Провинция с самым высоким уровнем рождаемости - Шанлыурфа с 4,13 детей в 2018 году. За ней следуют Ширнак с 3,6 детьми, Агры с 3,26 детьми и Муш с 3,23 детьми. Курдский восток то есть.
Меньше всего рождаемость в Гюмюшхане - с 1,3 детьми. За этой провинцией следуют Кютахья, Зонгулдак и Эдирне с 1,43 детьми.
