Сыгравший Тарзана футболист Джеймс Пирс (вскоре после премьеры женившийся на дочке Берроуза) долгое время безуспешно искал фильм, но умер в 1983 году, так и не увидев его. Полную копию обнаружили уже в 90-е во французской психлечебнице, при этом качественной оцифровки не существует до сих пор.
