امروز فکر میکردم عارف کم‌نظیری چون شیخ مرتضی زاهد بیش از ۷۰ سال پیش رحلت کرده‌اند. اگر کسی محضر او را در تهران درک کرده باشد الان باید حدود ۹۰ تا ۱۰۰ سال سن داشته باشد. کسی مانده؟ بعید می‌دانم. حسرت می‌خوریم که کاش او را درک می‌کردیم. همچنان که حسرت دیدار شیخ مرتضی انصاری، ملاحسینقلی همدانی، میرزا جوادآقا ملکی تبریزی، سید علی قاضی، علامه طباطبایی و... را داریم و از امام راحل جز خاطراتی مبهم در کودکی چیزی به یادگار نداریم. شاید ۷۰ سال بعد کسانی باشند به حال ما غبطه بخورند که در عصر چه بزرگانی نفس کشیده‌ایم. حجاب معاصرت مانع از آن است که بدانیم در سایه‌سار چه کسانی قد کشیده‌ایم و از فیض و درک محضرشان غافلیم.

At the start of 2018, the company attempted to launch an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) which would enable it to enable payments (and earn the cash that comes from doing so). The initial signals were promising, especially given Telegram’s user base is already fairly crypto-savvy. It raised an initial tranche of cash – worth more than a billion dollars – to help develop the coin before opening sales to the public. Unfortunately, third-party sales of coins bought in those initial fundraising rounds raised the ire of the SEC, which brought the hammer down on the whole operation. In 2020, officials ordered Telegram to pay a fine of $18.5 million and hand back much of the cash that it had raised. That hurt tech stocks. For the past few weeks, the 10-year yield has traded between 1.72% and 2%, as traders moved into the bond for safety when Russia headlines were ugly—and out of it when headlines improved. Now, the yield is touching its pandemic-era high. If the yield breaks above that level, that could signal that it’s on a sustainable path higher. Higher long-dated bond yields make future profits less valuable—and many tech companies are valued on the basis of profits forecast for many years in the future. In December 2021, Sebi officials had conducted a search and seizure operation at the premises of certain persons carrying out similar manipulative activities through Telegram channels. Messages are not fully encrypted by default. That means the company could, in theory, access the content of the messages, or be forced to hand over the data at the request of a government. Right now the digital security needs of Russians and Ukrainians are very different, and they lead to very different caveats about how to mitigate the risks associated with using Telegram. For Ukrainians in Ukraine, whose physical safety is at risk because they are in a war zone, digital security is probably not their highest priority. They may value access to news and communication with their loved ones over making sure that all of their communications are encrypted in such a manner that they are indecipherable to Telegram, its employees, or governments with court orders.
